New Green Initiatives Launched at SDS College

In a bid to promote sustainability and environmental awareness, SDS College has officially launched a series of green initiatives aimed at reducing the campus's carbon footprint. These initiatives include the installation of solar panels on various buildings, the introduction of recycling programs, and the planting of native trees around campus. The college administration encourages students and faculty to participate actively in these programs, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
The Sonopant Dandekar Shikshan Mandali was established in August 1968 to commemorate the Late Principal Sonopant Dandekar who was a pious personality and a renowned scholar and was admired throughout the State of Maharashtra. We feel confident that his Holy Spirit will never miss the mark as source of inspiration to his countless admires and lovers of education within the district of Palghar likewise they will extend hands of help and coopration to the Mandali so as to enable it to build an appropriate memorial in honour of the Virtuous Scholar.
Sonopant Dandekar Shikshan Mandali proved its legacy in education in Palghar District. As per changing need of Society Sonopant Dandekar Shikshan Mandali started with various Courses and opened avenues for higher Education. Law College is one of the initiatives among them. Late Adv. G.D.Tiwari, the President of Sonopant Dandekar Shikshan Mandali, supported numerous Legal Awareness programs run by Thane and the Palghar District Court. Whereafter, he realised the need for Law Education in the tribally dominant area of Palghar as students travelled far of to gain education in Law and also that since there was no such source in the vicinity of Palghar and envisaged the vision of a institute imparting education in Law which came to be fullfilled through “Sonopant Dandekar Shikshan Mandali’s Law College.”
